A Matter of Speaking

My environment growing up was not word friendly. More old school and not many options to go on. Only child, introverted as they come, so words were extremely hard to come by naturally. A conditioned mind to believe words really don’t matter, and only your opinion when asked. With introversion came bullying to reinforce that if you had something to say, better off not, if you knew what was good for you.

So you can imagine my thoughts, when I decided to write my first of now over fifty books. No one would read it. What if I say something offensive? What if I make someone mad with my truth? What if I cannot spell or use proper grammar? All in which I would be laughed out of town. So I thought. But who would have thought three decades later, it all mattered? Every word, every thought, every sentence. It mattered to someone in the world, it mattered to me, a lot! And you should know, you matter, your words matter too.

Just One!

We all have a story. We all have a journey to tell someone who needs to hear it! We all have a plan for our lives, whether we realize it at the time or not. Jesus, a simple carpenter with no shoes, told thirty-nine stories (parables) to twelve fishermen. Today, thousands of years later over two billion people have been affected by those stories so many years ago. Again, you have a story, it matters to someone. While the world may tell you, you don’t matter, maybe even your close family cannot see or hear you even. You may not write a book, but your words, your story will resinate with someone, even if it’s just one. If you are willing to share your story to anyone, you will be shocked how many opportunities you will have daily, if you just listen for the open doors.

When the world says, “Your words don’t matter,” tell the world, “I don’t care about what you think, I only care about one!” Tell your story!
