Every successful person has one. Even in bible days those who had a daily routine seemed to get more accomplished and enjoyed life more. No matter the mood, consistency is the key to success in weight loss and life. Routine means, “Standard Procedures.”
My most asked question is, “How have you sustained your exercise program for thirty years?” My answer, “I have daily standard procedures.” Follow through on a daily routine over and over again and success and pounds will follow also. I might add, by having a routine in the mornings statistics show those individuals have a seventy-five percent more of a success rate than those who do not have a.m. routines. Here are my morning standard procedures-
- No Technology before 8 a.m.
- Quiet time – 30 minutes, no distractions and sequestered.
- Exercise- 30 to 45 minutes.
- Breakfast – Sitting Down
- Deep Breath before I open the door to leave for the day.
- Repeat over and over and over and over!
Humans are complicated creatures. We tend to think that if things are not complicated then they do not work. Not true? Simple is what simple does in a daily routine. If the routine gets boring, change the substance up not the standard procedures. But in the end, its not complicated people, but it does take faith and discipline. Read my book, Changing from the INSIDE OUT for more on Routines.
