If you want to swim with the sharks, you better have one thing, enthusiasm; both literally and figuratively speaking.

I am a avid #sharktank tv show watcher. I ever take notes on a pad of paper; a student of the game so to speak. And over the last year I have noticed something consistent about all the sharks in the tank; they are attracted to one common piece of meat. In their eyes you can have, the best product, and pitch, but with out the meat, they more than not, turn their heads and swim away. On the contrary I also have noticed that if the people who are pitching don’t do one thing then the sharks tend to eat them alive.

Believe in yourself

If you don’t want to get eaten alive in your profession, career, then you need to learn how to believe in yourself. If you want to swim with the sharks you got to find a way to reach deep down and know what you are doing is the right thing. If you don’t, the sharks of the world will smell it and swallow you whole.

Passion

Along with believing in one self, comes passion. You cannot manufacture it, either you have it or you don’t. Having passion behind anything you do, over comes some of the lagging skill sets or resources one may have.

Enthusiasm

Some may think passion and enthusiasm are the same. I don’t. Passion drives within, enthusiasm drives one to act. The one consistent thing I observed with all the sharks was their keen sense of recognizing both passion and enthusiasm, or lack there of. And more than not, a deal was in the end made. So the next time you decide you want to swim with the sharks in life, remember you better have a little passion and enthusiasm before you jump off into that tank.
